ACMH Fall Conference

The Family Express: Turning Passion into Action; Supporting Children's Mental Health

This event will take place on October 13-14, 2008 at the Holiday Inn West in Lansing, Michigan. Download the brochure and registration form here (PDF).

 

National Children's Mental Health Week, May 4-10, 2008, sponsored by the Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health to promote awareness about children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral and mental health disorders and to educate communities about the impact of these disorders on children and their families.

 
In Michigan, the entire month of May is designated at Children’s Mental Health Month - Supported by resolutions introduced in the Senate by Senator Mark Jansen and in the House by Representative Terry Brown, 2008.

 
Green Ribbons – Show You Care – green ribbons indicate support of children with mental health needs and their families. Help us combat stigma and better the lives of children with emotional, behavioral and mental health needs. Please wear a green ribbon during May.

Children's Agenda 2008

In 2008, more than seventy Michigan Coalition for Families member organizations, including ACMH, called upon elected officials and business leaders to support investments in Michigan's children. Out of this call to action, came the 2008 Children's Agenda, which is now available online.
