Family Center Hours: Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon
The ACMH Family Center is part of a statewide, non-profit organization dedicated to families. We believe that every child should be emotionally and physically healthy, live happily in their family, have friends, and be successful in their school and community. Every child should look forward to a bright future.
The purpose of the ACMH-SWD Family Center is to strengthen the capacity of families, schools, and community mental health systems to provide environments that are physically, socially, and emotionally nurturing and secure for all children in southwest Detroit.
Services
The ACMH Family Center offers the following services to families in southwest Detroit:
- Information about school, mental health, and other community services and programs to help youth with emotional or behavioral challenges or other disabilities
- One-on-one support for parents and guardians of children and adolescents with disabilities
- Free training and support groups
- Youth leadership opportunities
- Resource library & materials
- Spanish verbal translation
- Special Family events
