The Power of Peer Support
Please join us on Tuesday December 8th at 1:00 p.m. to discuss the unique value of both formal and informal peer supports and explore options for you to access these types of supports for you and your family.
We will share a brief overview of both the newly created Youth Peer Support Service and the Parent Support Partner Project in Michigan which are both state plan mental health services/ supports available to eligible parents and youth.
We will also discuss the unique benefits of informal peer supports and how you might get involved in or develop local connections or support groups. We will also discuss how ACMH resources may be able to help you.
We will wrap up with a discussion about the things that help create authentic peer support relationships and hearing from all of you about your thoughts regarding peer support and what makes it valuable to you. There will also be time reserved at the end of the call for questions and idea sharing.
