Thousands of children have been funneled into Michigan’s adult prison system due to a series of harsh “tough on crime” laws meant to cut down on perceived youth violence. But what have these tough laws really done for our communities, families, and public safety?
Join the Michigan Council on Crime and Delinquency and Michigan State University’s Michigan Family Impact Seminar for an interactive day with national and local experts, formerly incarcerated youth, community leaders and lawmakers as we work together on a plan to protect kids, save money, and make communities safer.
