We are pleased to announce that the Association for Children’s Mental Health will be holding a special virtual event in honor of Children’s Mental Health Awareness! During the month of May 2022, we are inviting families, parents and caregivers, providers, and youth to share their stories through photography.

When and Where

Throughout the month of May 2022 on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

How to Participate

Throughout the month of May, post your photos on social media using the hashtag #Worth1000Words and tag ACMH. You may also email your photos to us directly at [email protected] and we will share them to our social media pages during the event.

Prompt Calendar

We created a calendar of prompts and photo ideas to help you get into the creative spirit. You are welcome to follow this calendar to a T or jump around, taking inspiration when it strikes! And, if you want to do your own thing – that works, too! After all, this is your story – we’re just here to cheer you on!

Tutorials and Resources

You don’t have to have a fancy camera or be an expert in photography – you just have to be an expert in your own story! Show the world what life looks like through your lens! Through the upcoming weeks, ACMH will post prompts and creative exercises on our social media pages to get you started.
