What to Expect

Accessing mental health services and supports for your child can be confusing at first.   You may have multiple appointments with different people and it may be hard to keep track of it all. Knowing what to expect along the way can make the process much less stressful. This section will give you some basic information about what you can expect if you are accessing public mental health services including what to expect when calling the Community Mental Health Access Line and during your first appointment, as well as, what to expect from your mental health treatment team, and what the process will be if your family is involved in Wraparound. You can also find information about what may happen if you need  to use a hospital emergency room for a crisis, if your child has to be hospitalized, or, what to expect if you are accessing mental health services through private insurance. Click the links below or on the right to find the information you need. We hope it is helpful! If you need additional information please feel free to call a Family Resource Specialist at ACMH today!
