What is Parent Leadership Camp?

Parent Leadership Camp is an opportunity for parents who want to improve their leadership skills and make a difference for families who have children with emotional, behavioral, and/or  mental health challenges. Parent leadership camp is a place where you can learn new skills, make new connections, and learn to use your real life experience as a tool for influencing the changes you would like to see in your community.

Who is Parent Leadership Camp for?

Parent Leadership Camp is for parents/primary caregivers of children with emotional, behavioral, and/or mental health challenges/disorders who want to build leadership skills, learn about opportunities for parent/caregiver voice in Michigan, discuss issues that matter to you, connect with other parents/caregivers, and have fun.

How much does this weekend cost?

Parent Leadership Camp is funded by gracious donations from our supporters. These donations make it possible for us to provide accommodation and meals to our parent/caregiver campers. ACMH provides PLC to parents/caregivers in Michigan in hopes to send participants home with skills and knowledge to make a positive influence in the areas of children`s mental health that matters to them.

How do I sign up?

Interested parents/caregivers are asked to apply and participate in a zoom interview with the ACMH Advisory Committee Coordinator/PLC Facilitator. Due to limited space, participants will be selected based on application and interview responses.

You may apply digitally at: https://forms.gle/Kh59iLcos1VnGE1u8
