There’s Always Something Happening at ACMH
Throughout the year, ACMH creates spaces for young people, families, professionals, and community partners to come together, learn from one another, and move children’s mental health forward.
Some events are built around learning. Some are about celebrating youth leadership. Some bring the people doing this work together to share ideas and build what comes next. Each one has its own personality, but they all have something in common: they make room for people with lived experience to be part of the conversation.
ACMH Annual Conference
Our annual conference brings together youth, families, professionals, advocates, and community partners for a day of learning, connection, and conversation. Each year brings a new theme and new voices, with plenty of opportunities to learn something useful, meet someone new, and leave with a few ideas worth taking back with you.
Youth Mental Health Awareness Day
YMHAD is a day created with and for young people. It brings youth, families, professionals, and community partners together to learn, connect, share their experiences, and make some noise about the things that matter to young people. It is part learning opportunity, part celebration, and always a little bit of a good time.
Youth Leadership Camp
The Youth Leadership Camp gives young people a space to connect with peers, build leadership skills, share their perspectives, and explore what it means to have a voice in the systems that affect their lives. It is designed with youth in mind and leaves plenty of room for young people to lead the way.
Parent Leadership Camp
The Parent Leadership Camp brings parents and caregivers together to learn, connect, share what they have learned along the way, and strengthen their voice in children’s mental health. It is a space for families to build relationships and recognize the expertise that comes from living this experience firsthand.
Why These Gatherings Matter
Getting people in the same room can change what happens next.
A young person meets someone who understands. A parent realizes they’re not the only one trying to figure things out. A professional hears an experience that changes how they think about their work. A community partner finds someone they can build something with.
Those connections are a big part of what ACMH has been doing for more than 35 years. Our events give people a reason to show up, but the relationships and ideas that come out of them are what keep the work moving.
Come Be Part of It
Whether you are a young person, parent, caregiver, professional, advocate, or community partner, there is a place for you at ACMH.
