Volunteer with ACMH

VOLUNTEER WITH ACMH

There’s a place for you in this work.

ACMH brings people together to strengthen children’s mental health across Michigan, and a lot of what makes that possible happens because people are willing to lend their time, ideas, energy, and experience.

Whether you have volunteered for years or you’re wondering where you might fit, we’d love to have you involved.

WHY VOLUNTEER?

Good things happen when people show up.

Volunteers help ACMH create the kind of spaces where people feel welcome, connected, and able to participate. Sometimes that means helping at an event. Sometimes it means sharing a skill or lending a hand behind the scenes. Sometimes it simply means being another friendly face in the room.

There isn’t one particular kind of person who makes a good ACMH volunteer. We value people who care about children, youth, and families and want to contribute in a way that feels meaningful to them.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

What could volunteering look like?

Our volunteer opportunities can look different depending on what is happening at ACMH and what you enjoy doing. Here are a few of the ways volunteers can become part of the work.

01

Help Bring an Event to Life

From welcoming attendees to helping things run smoothly behind the scenes, volunteers help create the kind of events where people want to stay, connect, and come back.

02

Share Your Skills

Have a talent, skill, or area of experience that could be useful? There are plenty of ways to contribute what you already know and help ACMH get more done.

03

Help Us Connect With People

Volunteers can help spread the word about ACMH, connect people with opportunities, and make sure the people who could benefit from our work know we’re here.

04

Bring Your Perspective

Your experiences and ideas matter. Volunteers bring perspectives that help ACMH stay connected to the communities, youth, and families we work alongside.

PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER

You don’t have to do everything to make a difference.

ACMH has been building connections across Michigan for more than 35 years. That work happens through relationships, conversations, events, training, advocacy, and the many people who choose to contribute along the way.

Your time might help a young person feel welcome at their first event. It might make a conference run a little smoother. It might introduce someone to an opportunity they didn’t know existed. Those things add up.

Come as you are. Bring what you can.

We don’t expect every volunteer to have the same availability, experience, or reason for getting involved. We simply want people who are willing to show up and be part of the community we’re building.

READY TO GET INVOLVED?

Let’s make something meaningful together.

Fill out our volunteer application and tell us a little about yourself, what you’re interested in, and how you’d like to get involved. We’ll take it from there.
