There are a lot of ways to build something together.
For more than 35 years, ACMH has worked alongside organizations, communities, professionals, youth, and families across Michigan to strengthen children’s mental health and create meaningful opportunities for people with lived experience to lead change.
Some partnerships begin with funding. Others begin with an event, a shared project, a conversation about youth and family voice, or an idea that neither organization could do as well alone.
What could partnership look like?
There isn’t one way to work with ACMH. Here are some of the ways organizations and communities can get involved.
Invest in ACMH
Organizations can invest in ACMH through annual giving, grants, corporate giving, or larger gifts that help build our capacity and keep this work moving.
Your investment helps create the training, relationships, opportunities, and infrastructure that strengthen youth and family voice across Michigan.
Sponsor an ACMH Event
Our events bring together youth, families, professionals, advocates, community organizations, and leaders from across Michigan. Sponsorship helps make these gatherings possible and gives your organization a meaningful way to be part of the work.
Bring Youth & Family Voice Into Your Work
Looking for meaningful ways to involve young people and families in an initiative, event, training, project, or conversation? ACMH can help connect you with people with lived experience and create opportunities for their voices to shape the work.
Build a Project Together
Sometimes there’s a specific idea on the table: a community initiative, educational opportunity, awareness campaign, fundraiser, resource, or other project connected to children’s mental health.
If you see a place where ACMH and your organization could build something together, let’s talk about it.
Rally Your Community
Have an idea for getting your employees, members, customers, school, or community involved?
We love finding creative ways for organizations and community groups to invest in ACMH, whether through a fundraiser, community activity, awareness effort, or an idea that doesn’t fit neatly into a category.
Volunteer With ACMH
There are plenty of ways to lend your time, skills, and energy to ACMH. Help at an event, share your expertise, connect with youth and families, or pitch in behind the scenes.
The work happens because people make it possible.
A youth leadership opportunity. A family finding connection. A peer building new skills. A room full of people who might not otherwise have a reason to sit down together.
ACMH creates the space for those things to happen, and an investment helps make that space possible. It helps us build relationships, create opportunities, bring people together, and stay ready when new possibilities come our way.
What can an investment make possible?
A seat at the table
A young person or family member gets a chance to share their experience, be heard, and help shape the conversation.
A door that opens
Someone finds a training, connection, resource, or leadership opportunity they might not have found otherwise.
A stronger network
Families, youth, professionals, and community partners have opportunities to learn from one another and build something together.
Room to respond
ACMH has the capacity to say yes when an opportunity comes along and keep building the infrastructure this work needs.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
Some of our best partnerships start with a simple conversation.
Maybe you know exactly what you’d like to do. Maybe you just know that your organization wants to be part of strengthening children’s mental health in Michigan and you’re looking for the right opportunity.
Tell us what you’re thinking. We’ll figure out together whether there’s a way to work together.
