Community-based Recovery Supports for Military Service Members, Veterans, and their Families

SAMHSA’s Bringing Recovery Supports to Scale Technical Assistance Center Strategy (BRSS TACS) invites you to a conversation with experts about the support needs of service members and veterans who are in or seeking recovery, as well as the support needs of their families.
Experts will discuss strategies for addressing challenges to accessing treatment and recovery supports, approaches to supporting family members, and recommendations for increasing recovery supports within local communities.
Presenters:
Donna Aligata, Project Director for SAMHSA’s Services Members, Veterans, and their Families Technical Assistance Center (SMVT TA) at Policy Research Associates;
Jeffrey McQueen, Chief Program Officer, Mental Health Association of Nassau County;
Joe Snyder, Expert Consultant, Trauma-Informed Veteran Peer Support
Steven Samra from the Center for Social Innovation will moderate the event.
