ACMH Launches New Behavioral Health Resource Library
Finding the right behavioral health information can take a lot of digging. Families, young people, advocates, and professionals often come to ACMH looking for resources on a specific need, age group, or community. Now, there’s a new place to start.
ACMH has launched a Behavioral Health Resource Library, a growing collection of resource guides created in response to requests we receive from the people and communities we serve.
Each guide brings together information from available programs, services, organizations, and other resources around a specific topic. The guides are designed to make it easier to find useful information in one place, while giving people a starting point for exploring their options.
What’s in the library?
The first guides cover a range of needs and interests:
Southeast Michigan Behavioral Health Resources for Youth Ages 10–12
This guide includes partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, behavioral health, family support, and therapeutic recreation resources for younger youth, with a focus on Southeast Michigan and additional resources across the state.
Resources for Youth Advocates
Youth advocacy can be meaningful work, but it can also take a lot out of you. This guide brings together resources focused on self-care, wellbeing, resilience, and mental health for young people involved in advocacy.
Climate Change and Mental Health Resources
Climate change can affect mental health in many ways. This guide explores that connection and includes resources and practical tools for young people experiencing climate-related stress, learning more about the issue, and taking action in their communities.
The library will continue to grow as new requests come in and new topics emerge.
A starting point, not the final word
Resource information can change quickly. Programs may update their eligibility requirements, services, insurance participation, availability, or websites. For that reason, every ACMH guide is dated and includes a reminder to contact organizations directly to confirm current information.
ACMH does not endorse the organizations or programs included in the guides. Our goal is to help people find information that can give them a place to begin.
Have a resource question?
The library is shaped by the questions people bring to us.
If you’re looking for resources on a particular topic, age group, or area of Michigan, let ACMH know what you’re looking for. Your request may help shape a future resource guide and make that information easier for someone else to find, too.
